That's not just what we say, it's what the whole of Italy says! It's no coincidence that Formentera is called the "piccola isola" of the Mediterranean. Ibiza's little sister has a whole country in love with it, and no wonder: Formentera's coves are true paradises.
We are sure that you are already familiar with the island's most famous beach: Ses Illetes. Year after year, it stands out among the favorite coves of thousands of tourists because it is simply spectacular!

However, you can find other coves in Formentera that, even if they are less known (or precisely for this reason), you will love. We are going to give you several examples that will make you reconsider which are the best coves in the Balearic Islands.
We start with Es Caló de Sant Agustí, which are actually several coves in Formentera in the eastern part of the island that are very little frequented. Then continue with Es Caló des Mort, ideal for watching the sunset. And we finish with S'Alga beach, on the islet of S'Espalmador. Idyllic!

What we like most about the number of beaches in the Balearic Islands is their diversity and variety. The Menorca's coves that we are going to recommend to you now, without going any further, stand out because they are far away from civilization and preserve a priceless natural beauty.
From the Blue Ocean Ibiza blog, our first suggestion is Cala Turqueta, one of the most beautiful coves in Menorca. Its waters are azure blue, and it is hidden among a forest of wild pine trees endemic to the archipelago, a true gift of nature!
Another of Menorca's coves that you should not miss is Cala Pregonda, with its red sands, transparent waters and complete isolation. In fact, the way to get there is complicated to say the least, but it is well worth it!
Finally, we could not omit from our list of the best coves in the Balearic Islands a marvel like Cala Mitjana. Completely natural and unspoiled, this is one of the quietest and most beautiful beaches on the island. Not to be missed...

In the largest of the Balearic Islands, there are so many beautiful beaches and coves that it is difficult to make a selection without leaving a gem behind. In fact, the beauty of many of them will make you wonder where to stay on your holidays: in a house or on a boat.
So to finish our list of the best coves in the Balearic Islands, we are going to suggest some of the ones you won't find in the traditional travel guides. We start with the Es Caragol cove, one of the best beaches in Mallorca and located near the Ses Salines lighthouse.
We continue with the beach of Formentor, which is in the complete opposite location (it is the most northerly cove in Mallorca) and its waters are very shallow. In the heart of the Tramuntana mountain range is Cala de Sa Calobra, a unique place that will not leave you indifferent.
Finally, we cannot forget one of the coves in Mallorca most appreciated by the locals: Cala es Màrmols. Breathtaking white cliffs, warm blue waters and unspoiled natural surroundings. Spectacular is an understatement...
